    َAbstract:
    Building Information Modelling (BIM) is one of the important areas in current Virtual Reality (VR) research.
    VR research considers not only the technological development, a very important part of the research also
    concerns the application of the technologies and their adoption by the practices. This paper firstly presents an
    analysis of the current state of BIM in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry and a reassessment
    of its role and potential contribution in the near future. The paper analyses the readiness of the
    industry with respect to the (1) product, (2) processes and (3) people, to position BIM adoption in terms of
    current status and expectations across disciplines. The findings indicate that there were both technical and
    non-technical issues that need consideration. The evidence also suggests that there are varying levels of
    adoption and therefore the need for a specific tool to facilitate BIM adoption. The study revealed that even the
    market leaders who are early technology adopters in the Australian industry in many cases have varying
    degrees of practical experiential knowledge of BIM and hence at times different understandings and different
    levels of confidence regarding the future diffusion of BIM technology throughout the industry. There have
    been numerous factors affecting BIM adoption, which can be grouped into two main areas: technical tool
    functional requirements and needs, and non-technical strategic issues. There are varying levels of adoption
    and understanding within countries — from discipline to discipline and client to client. There are also varying
    levels of adoption from country to country and although many researchers and practitioners espouse
    collaborative working environments there are still challenges to be met in many parts of the world,
    particularly, in relation to a fully integrated collaborative multidisciplinary mode of operation. The challenges
    for the research community lie not only in addressing the technical solutions or addressing human centred
    issues but it is also in creating the enabling environment of a decision framework, which integrates both the
    technical and non-technical challenges. The need for guidance on where to start, what tools are available and
    how to work through the legal, procurement and cultural challenges was evidenced in the exploratory study.
    Therefore the Collaborative BIM Decision Framework has been initiated to facilitate the BIM adoption in the
    AEC industry, based upon these industry concerns, which consists of four interrelated key elements. The
    findings are drawn from a major research project funded by the Australian Cooperative Research Centre for
    Construction Innovation (CRC-CI), with a focus on the Australian context.

    Abstract
    In the construction projects, construction managers face too many problems such as over budget projects, schedules errors, omission of some activity and safety tasks that originate from improper trained planners. A digital presentation of the building process to facilitate exchange and interoperability of information in digital format is called Building Information Modelling can provide adequate teaching tools for better understanding of real project tasks sequences and procedures. The benefits of BIM-based as a teaching aid promises to improve the education level of planners and construction manager teams. This research was carried out based on the questionnaire survey within construction companies in Singapore. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and been ranked with Average Index method. Some benefits of BIM-based tools were identified, whereby, it able to create smart 3D and 4D model in order to enhance the realization of the construction project for planner and scheduler trainees.

    Abstract:
    Building information modelling (BIM) is an example of a systemic process of
    innovation in the construction industry BIM is a set of interacting policies, processes,
    and technology to create a methodology to manage the fundamental construction design
    and project data in digital format during the entire life-cycle of a building BIM was
    expected to bring substantial improvements in productivity in the construction industry.
    In this way, the implementation of Building Information Modelling (BIM) in Building
    practice promises to improve communication and cooperation among participants
    through greater interoperability of data. However, to implement BIM on construction
    project, professionals need to set and row BIM based tools, project operations, and the
    business models of the companies which collaborate on a project. As many researches
    mentioned there are lots of valuable benefits of using BIM based planning and
    scheduling 4 dimension (4D) but the slow adoption of this new method is a
    fundamental problem in developing countries like Iran. The Aim of this study is to
    identify the state of the art of strategic implementation of using BIM based scheduling
    in comparison with conventional based scheduling in Iran in the construction industry,
    hence the related and measurable objectives are to explore the obstacles to the use and
    implementation of Building Information Modeling in the planning and design stage in
    Iran and identify strategies that will improve the efficient BIM implementation in the
    construction industry in developing countries. The scope of this study is limited to the
    construction phase within Iran. The briefly Identified barriers of using BIM in this
    country is that Legal/legislative backing by government, subsidizing the price of the
    software by the government and authors and providing trail software, mobilizing clients
    on the importance of BIM by service, training and retraining, managing Cultural
    Change are items which were found in this study
    .

    :َAbstract

    Building information modeling (BIM) refers to a combination or a set of technologies and organizational solutions that are expected to increase inter organizational and disciplinary collaboration in the construction industry and to improve the productivity and quality of the design, construction, and maintenance of buildings. In this paper we analyze first the rhetorical–promotional dimension of the BIM implementation sometimes characterized as a “BIM utopia.” Second, we analyze the views of the enhancement of BIM implementation. Although BIM visions and promises are needed for BIM implementation, they need to be complemented with a more realistic view of conditions of the implementation. For this we outline an activity–theoretical and evolutionary view by drawing conceptual tools from science and technology studies and other relevant social scientific literature. According to this view, in addition to standards and guidelines underlined by normative approaches, local experimentation and continuous learning play a central role in the implementation of BIM.

    :Abstract

    Recent advances in building information modelling (BIM) have disseminated the utilization ofmultidimensional (nD) CAD information in the construction industry. Nevertheless, the overall and practical effectiveness of BIM utilization is difficult to justify at this stage. The purpose of this paper is to propose a BIM framework focusing on the issues of practicability for real-world projects. Even though previous efforts in the BIM framework have properly addressed the BIM variables, comprehensive issues in terms of BIM effectiveness need to be further developed. A thorough literature review of computer-integrated construction (CIC) and BIM was performed first in order to interpret the BIM from a global perspective. A comprehensive BIM framework consisting of three dimensions and six categories was then developed to address the variablesfor theory and implementation. This framework can provide a basis for evaluating promising areas andidentifying driving factors for practical BIM effectiveness.

    :Abstract

    While BIM processes are established for new buildings, the majority of existing buildings is not maintained,refurbished or deconstructed with BIM yet. Promising benefits of efficient resource management motivate researchto overcome uncertainties of building condition and deficient documentation prevalent in existing buildings.Due to rapid developments in BIM research, involved stakeholders demand a state-of-the-art overview of BIMimplementation and research in existing buildings. This paper presents a review of over 180 recent publicationson the topic. Results show scarce BIM implementation in existing buildings yet, due to challenges of (1) high modeling/conversion effort from captured building data into semantic BIM objects, (2) updating of informationin BIM and (3) handling of uncertain data, objects and relations in BIM occurring in existing buildings.Despite fast developments and spreading standards, challenging research opportunities arise fromprocess automation and BIM adaption to existing buildings' requirement
